Ever wondered if your dog can read your mind?

Well... He can! Your dog has an acentuated awareness of your behavior and routine and an exceptrional sense of smell. These two things alone allow a dog to notice when you are about to do something.

Dogs know when you are about to leave the house or take them for a walk. As soon as you start thinking about giving your dog a snack or taking them out they know!

Dogs know these things because they watch you and know when you start to do something different. Your dog learns your habits and notices how you look at him. He knows your regular behavior and looks at your eyes to put all your actions together.

In addition, your dog will know if you are really happy or perhaps sad, under pressure, scared or sick since your dog can smell the changes in your scent. Your dog’s olfactory response in his nose and also the brain delivers a phenomenal capacity to smell and also to analyze smells.

The ability to know what is about to happen we often call intuition. And this, interestingly enough is exactly what your dog uses.

Our own intuition comes into play often. Recall a time when you thought something didn’t seem right but you didn't know why. And then you discovered that you were right about it. We may feel a hunch but we don't know why we thought the situation was not quite right. This is your intuition. We can learn some of the skills of our dogs just by obseving more.
